Who looks after my information here?

Hideo Mori Bowling does. That name covers this site, my books and the membership.

Will my name end up on a list for sale?

No, never. We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share it for advertising either.

If I only read the pages, what do you learn about me?

Very little. There is no account and no sign-up form on this site. We use no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no Google or Facebook trackers, and no analytics scripts.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes your IP address, which it needs to deliver and protect the pages.

Why do the links in your videos look different?

They carry a short code, so I can learn which videos help people. When you use one, we record the time, which video or link, which page it sent you to, and your country.

We also keep a scrambled code made from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored. The code cannot be changed back into it.

A single small cookie lasts 30 days. Its only task is to keep the book page the same if you return. It does that by remembering which version you saw. No other cookie is set by this site. Hotmart's checkout has its own cookies, governed by Hotmart's policy.

When I buy a book, who handles my card?

That is Hotmart's job. Hotmart gathers your name, email, billing details and payment details. We never see card numbers.

We then learn from Hotmart your email and country, your purchase and its price, and the video or link you came from. For book orders, we store only a scrambled version of your email.

What do you hold about me if I become a member?

From Hotmart: your name, email, country, time zone, membership status and dates, and which video or link you came from. We keep these to send your letters.

The letters also let us know whether they were delivered and which links inside were clicked.

I started to buy and stopped. Will you chase me?

Only a little. When a checkout is left unfinished, or a payment fails, Hotmart may share your name and email with us.

At most, two reminder emails may follow. One click stops them, and we never write if you bought already.

What do you do with the emails I write to you?

We keep your message and your email address in order to answer you.

We delete the full raw copy of the email after 90 days. We keep the text, so we can follow our conversation.

Does an AI help write your replies?

It may. To answer you sooner, we may let an AI writing assistant help us draft a reply. Your message is used only for that purpose.

What is all this information used for?

Delivering books and letters. Answering questions. Processing refunds. Learning which videos help.

We may also tell you about other books from Hideo Mori Bowling. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Who else handles my information?

Hotmart takes care of payments, membership billing and delivering the books. Resend delivers our emails. Cloudflare hosts the site and stores our data. It also receives the email people send us.

Each follows its own privacy policy.

How long do you keep what you have?

Membership data: while you are a member, and until you ask us to delete it. Order records: as long as the law requires.

If you unsubscribe, we keep only a scrambled “do not email” note. It makes sure you are not emailed again.

Can I see, fix or delete what you have on me?

Yes, wherever you live in the US, including California. Write to [email protected] and we answer within 30 days.

To stop emails, use the one-click unsubscribe link, or reply with “unsubscribe.” Hotmart keeps purchase records of its own, as required by law.

Do you collect information from children?

Not knowingly. My books and the membership are written for adults, and we never knowingly gather data from a child under 13.

Will this page ever change?

If it does, we update the page and the “Last updated” date.
